This blog is to record my new diet. HCG. Is the final one? Well, that remains to be seen.
I lost about 30 lbs a few months ago. How did I do it? Low calorie, low fat, high protein and exercise. No pills no external help. And it worked. I walked in the am and did Billy Bob's at lunch time and just watched what I ate. Not too difficult and I enjoyed feeling better and "lighter"But... In the course of 3 mos time, I have gained about 10lbs of it back. I can feel it coming back on. I don't like that feeling. But I still go about my business of eating what I want, when I want and as I put the food into my mouth I don't even care. Why is that? Why is food my enemy? Why is my life full of ups and downs as far as weight? and pretty extreme ones too.
Those are the answers I just don't seem to be able to answer. So, maybe by journaling each day I can answer those questions?
I have decided to go the HCG Diet route. I am a little apprehensive. Shots just don't thrill me. But I've GOT to do something. After talking to Lauren I've decided that maybe the shots won't be so bad.
Cost= $60 for the HCG and enough syringes for 23 days. (Round 1)
So here's a little about the diet.
HCG Diet
The use of HCG in a diet will dispose of the abnormal fat first, which will allow for a visual transformation of the body. It also helps to correct the patients metabolism which in turn will help the patient from gaining the weight back once off a restricted diet. However, in order to maintain a healthy weight after a weight loss program in any circumstance one must continue to have a well balanced diet.
Dr Simeon’s protocol requires you to eat fruit, vegetables and meat, fish or poultry. There is a vegetarian version as well. You will generally receive the diet information along with your order of HCG as there are some edited versions depending on the supplier.
As with any diet your success is dependent on how closely you abide by the diet plan and consume only food and portion sizes allowed.
One helpful tips when on a diet are to make sure you drink water. Thirst is highly mistaken for hunger so drink up as this is a great way to avoid over snacking. Other things to help when on a diet is to make sure that you span out your meals, eating meals too close together will cause hunger cravings later on. Also make sure that you plan out your meals, knowing what you are going to eat will not tempt you to look through the pantry fr a quick fix.
